Manchester United's quest for Mason Mount continues with an improved third bid

Manchester United are set to make an improved third bid to sign Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount. The Red Devils have been chasing the 24-year-old for months and have already had two bids rejected by the Blues.

Mount was a key player for Chelsea last season, scoring nine goals and providing eight assists in all competitions. He also started every game for England in Euro 2020, helping them reach the final of the tournament.

United have already agreed to personal terms with the player, and are determined to land their man this summer. According to renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the club will return with a new offer for Mount.

Mount would be a great addition to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, and could form a lethal partnership with Bruno Fernandes in midfield. His versatility would also be a huge asset, as he can play in a number of different positions.

However, Chelsea are unlikely to let their star player go without a fight, and United may have to break the bank to secure his services. Nevertheless, United fans will be hoping that the club makes Mount their third signing of the summer after the arrivals of Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane.
