Liverpool's next transfer step targets midfield rebuild

Liverpool is making plans for the next stage of revamping their midfield with a number of potential transfer targets in line for movement. The Under-21 European Championships starts this week and Liverpool is keeping an eye on several young players participating.

The club’s chief scout, Mark Vogan, has been monitoring the performances of England’s Jude Bellingham, Florian Wirtz of Germany and Portugal’s Pedro Goncalves. All three have impressed in their respective leagues this season and Liverpool are keen to bring in one of them as part of their rebuilding plan for the midfield.

In addition to these young talents, Liverpool has also been linked with moves for Udinese’s Rodrigo de Paul and Lille’s Renato Sanches. Both players have had an impressive season in their respective clubs and would offer Liverpool a much-needed midfield boost.

Liverpool’s midfield was not as dominant as they had hoped last season and the club is focused on acquiring players who can provide creativity and attacking flair. With the departure of Georginio Wijnaldum, the club is looking to replace the Dutch midfielder’s enormous impact on the team.

It is still unclear which player Liverpool will sign, but the club’s fans are hoping to see a new player unveiled soon as they prepare for a new season.
