Jose Mourinho criticizes Europa League final referee and gives an update on his future at Roma

Former Roma coach Jose Mourinho has spoken out about his opinion on the Europa League final referee. He criticized English official Anthony Taylor and claimed that he ‘seemed Spanish’. Mourinho’s team, Roma, lost 1-0 to Sevilla FC in the final of the competition.

‘It’s not fair to say that it was only the referee who cost us the game, but I do believe that he made some controversial decisions that went against us.’ said Mourinho in a post-match interview.

Moreover, the Portuguese coach also gave an update on his future at Roma, with rumors circulating that he may join Paris Saint-Germain:

‘I am happy at Roma and I am very much looking forward to next season. I have a great relationship with the club and the fans, so I am not thinking about moving to Paris Saint-Germain.’

Mourinho joined Roma in the summer of 2022 and has had mixed success during his time in Italy.
